About Me... My interview with IndieActivity is here!
I drive....a LOT.
Over the last five years I've done short films in New Jersey (Raising Ethan, an official selection of the Garden State Film Festival), Pennsylvania, and Washington D.C., and television and docudrama proofs of concept in NYC and New Jersey.
Closer to home, I narrated a documentary (Run with Your Heart) and voiced the title character in Grandma, an animated short. Additionally, there were guest star roles in two new media series, and a co-star role in an episode of the TLC series Return to Amish. Commercial work took me from Lancaster to Pittsburgh to Baltimore, and auditions and callbacks beckoned in NYC, Philadelphia, and Wilmington, Delaware, as well as, Charlottesville, Virginia.
My favorite on stage work is originating characters and helping bring new plays to life from first table read, to staged reading, to final full production, as was the case with Valerie in Chet Williamson's stunning two-hander He Comes For His Books. I love that the women I've played have been written with confidence, intelligence, wit, and passion.
I was thrilled to be selected and participate in a Master Class with esteemed acting coach Richard Warner in Charlottesville, VA. In New York, I've studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, with Dena Tyler at MN Acting Studio, and workshopped with Karen Kohlhaas of the Atlantic Theatre Company. As I continue to seek ways to learn and improve at my craft, I also attend workshops and classes in Philadelphia, Baltimore, and throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
I'm a long-time volunteer for various arts, environmental, and women's rights causes. I love food and antiques, so my two favorite places are grocery stores and flea markets. And as an information “junkie” and former market research director, I am helplessly curious about a wide range of topics, which makes me a great cocktail party guest, but not quite knowledgable enough to win at Jeopardy.
